“This change is going to be really hard on our organization.”
As a salesforce consultant who has worked on many different projects with many different clients, I have heard this statement uttered many times. It seems those individuals leading the charge for change in their organization are often also preparing for battle internally.
Why is it that so many different companies, within different industries, consistently anticipate resistance when they look to take on a change for the better? Perhaps a fear of change?

Whether buying a car at a dealership, an appliance at the store, servicing your car, or helping your child select a college that will give them the education that will be valuable for their future, you want to make sure you are getting value out of your purchase.
Regardless of deciding on a car, house, or a college for your child, your decision will be based upon the overall value of the product or offering. You probably decided on the school that had the best education, but may have also had a great athletics program, library, social program and much more. After you make the commitment and experience your investment, the question typically comes up “am I getting the value that I paid for?” or “how can I use all of the features that persuaded me to make this purchase?"
Is it what you wanted? Of course, or you wouldn't have made the purchase. The real question is how you see the value out of your investment. To determine whether you received the ROI that you were hoping for, revisit the main reasons why you made the purchase in the first place.

My co-worker recently made a reference to the weather in one of his blog posts, so I thought I would do the same thing. I see Clouds in our future, and that’s a good thing.
My fascination with Cloud Applications started in late 2009 when we started our Salesforce.com practice. On the brink of starting a new subsidiary that focuses exclusively on leveraging cloud applications and social strategies in the enterprise, I thought it would be a good opportunity to express what I appreciate about companies like Salesforce.com, Workday, Marketo and Dell-Boomi. Today’s true cloud vendors provide benefit to customers and are changing the landscape of enterprise applications as we know them. Here are some of the characteristics that I feel make these offerings very relevant today:
